The Level 3 Diploma for the Children’s and Young People’s Workforce is for candidates who work with children and young people.  The course is flexible and takes account of the many roles involved in supporting people which includes those who work with groups or on a one to one basis.

In registered settings other than childminding, all supervisors and managers must hold a full and relevant level 3 qualification as defined by the Children’s Workforce Development Council (CWDC). The qualification was revised and now has two pathways. The social care pathway is now only for candidates not working in residential childcare since January 2015. Candidates working in children residential care will be expected to complete theLevel 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) instead.
