Support
One of the features of the qualification you have enrolled on is the need for Etutor Alliance as a provider to prove that we have delivered training or a learning program to our regulators. You in turn as a candidate has to prove that you have learned. We, therefore, need to work in partnership in order to meet this requirement and ensure your portfolio of evidence passes both internal and external quality assurance.
Office Opening Hours
Our normal office opening hours are from 10 am till 4 pm (Monday to Friday). You need to arrange an appointment at least 48 hours earlier in as assessors are not always ready to speak with you! We also operate a duty system where your assessor might be allocated other tasks when they are on duty. They are therefore not able to divert away from these duties if there is no appointment. Please call between 3 pm and 4 pm if you require general support from the team?
Online Chat
We also operate a complimentary online chat system based on ad-hoc hours which can at times stretch up to 11 pm. The online chat is normally available during our office hours.
Admin Support
Our admin team is available during our office hours. They are responsible for dealing with any issues regarding access, payments, extensions, appeals, extenuating circumstances, complaints, general matters and acknowledging receipt of your portfolio of evidence.
Assessor (Tutor) Support
Each candidate is allocated an assessor who is also their tutor. Your assessor will support you regarding assessment matters and quality assurance matters. They will provide guidance and assist you to achieve your qualification. You will be expected to inform your assessor as soon as possible if there are issues affecting your progress. Please use Communication and Assessment Centre to communicate with your assessor any time. If you would like to speak with your assessor please make sure you book an appointment at least 48 hours before.
Tutorials
All candidates are entitled to tutorials as an additional source of support. Assessors will regularly carry these out as part of their normal assessment practice. For example, you could be asked to get in touch for a tutorial after being given feedback. Candidates should, however, be aware that tutorials are not an alternative to participating in workshops. They are also not to be used to discuss assignments. Candidates who require a tutorial will need to request one on Communication and Assessment Centre or use our appointments system.
Forums and Web Conferences
You should start to use the forums by introducing your self and respond to topics. The forums and the web conferences are the main sources of course delivery, peer learning and meeting guided learning hours.
Guided learning hours
Guided learning hours are only met when you interact with a member of staff. They can also be met by attending workshops, tutorials, observations, responding to feedback, completing planners and learning logs.
Please remember the course is not just about completing coursework. The course is made up of Learning Outcomes. You will, therefore, need to demonstrate that learning has taken place over a sufficient time. You will need to focus on both participating in course activities and completing coursework. Assessors might not assess your work if you do not participate in course activities. Our quality assurers will not sign off any candidate who has not satisfactory met their guided learning hours and participated in course activities. We will not risk our Centre Registration and compromise our current and past candidates. Remember the assessment criteria is made up of learning outcomes! You need to show that learning has taken place! you have completed this essential part of the course.
